The Governor used his line item Veto to get rid of this bill which was a good idea. Senator JD Alexander added it to the Florida Budget last minute without any approval from the House or Senate to sneak it in. This could be misconstrued as a loan from the State when it was designed to help w/ cat Fund Shortfalls so it must be removed. This could have had a positive inpact on people in Fort Lauderdale and all over Florida to save money, but it would have also put us at more risk and the State Budget could also be held responsible which is not wanted by anyone since we are currently in a huge deficit already.
