Northern is another casualty within Florida, but this company has been under watch by the State of  Florida  for nearly 12 months, but no one was made aware in the industry until Feb. of this year. Why would the DFS and the OIR of Florida do this to the Florida consumer. The reserves are gone  and of the 74,000 policies in the state of Florida 70% of them are here in South Florida. Hurricane season is just around the corner and getting a new policy will be dificult at best. Why would the state not tell the Insurance asociation and keep this a  secret. Most will end up in Citizens because of capacity issues and the closeness to the start of hurricane season.More to come, but please read the full article below;
